My name is Cooper, but most people call me Coop, Coop Dog, or Coopy. I am a Colorado adventure dog. I live in Buena Vista with my humans, Nikki and Ryan Harper. I love them so much! I am a pretty spoiled pup. I get to go trail running and swimming pretty much everyday. And we go on A LOT of really fun adventures all over Colorado and in some other states too, like Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and New Mexico. I haven’t been on a plane yet, although I have been to DIA a few times. Swimming in the ocean is on my bucket list and I’ll be sure to post more about it when I get the opportunity.

The Puppy Years

I was born in Parker, Colorado on January 1, 2015. My golden retriever parents are Coco and Amber, although I haven’t seen them in awhile. I got to meet my humans when I was only 6 weeks old and it was love at first sight. They came back to get me to take me to my furever home with them when I was 8 weeks old. I was a rambunctious puppy with lots and lots of energy. I hated being in a crate and it took me awhile to get the whole potty training thing down. I learned quickly that I love being outside – rolling in the snow, swimming in the lake, frolicking through the bushes, chewing on sticks…really all the things!

All Grown Up, But Still a Pup

Even though I’m almost seven years old now, I still just act like a big puppy. I just sleep in longer in the morning and take more naps than I used to. I prefer to run wild and free and really hate being on a leash. Luckily for me, I don’t have to be on one most of the time. My mom works from home and I’m the best work from home buddy. I have a loud, scary bark and always scare away the delivery person. I also still love food – bananas are my absolute favorite, oh and carrots, and watermelon, and chicken, and well I like pretty much all foods. Mom and dad only let me have fruits and vegetables though. I also really love snuggling and am the best snuggler first thing in the morning.
